What's New?

• The updates for S4E10 are done.

Great news for the fans of the LOSTies who are not part of the Oceanic 6. It looks like some folks are still alive on the island since Jack told Kate about Sawyer "He made his choice. He chose to stay". Hopefully, that means that Sawyer, Jin, Locke and several other LOSTies are alive as well. See Playing

There were lots of Games & Toys in this episode and, as ususal, lots of Duplicates

Thank you to Jen for her wonderful donation.

• The updates for S4E9 are done.

Watch all the eyes in this episode. Lots of eye color changes, most notably Alex is back to having blue eyes in this episode after having been brown for so long. For those of you who may doubt that the eye color changes are real, see the comparison of Alex's eye colors in S4E8 and S4E9 on the Eyes page. There was a discussion that was rampant on various forums about Alex's eyes in S4E8 and I have included pictures from S4E9 where they are absolutely blue. Also, lots of characters who had one eye in light and one in shadow during many scenes in this episode.

There is a discussion about Alex's Death and The Rules in the section on Level 5 Instructions on the Playing page. I'd love to get some feedback on what I have written there.

Many thanks to Anne Dawson who generously donated some copies of her new book LOST Mind Games to me and to several of the regular contributors to this site.

If you haven't gotten LOST Mind Games yet, it's great and I highly recommend it to all LOST fans. Many of the fan podcasts featured interviews with Anne during the hiatus and they all recommend it as much as I do. Here's the link to Anne's website and a link to LOST Mind Games on Amazon.

ABC has launched a new game called LOSTscape as part of a contest to win a trip to Comic Con

Don't miss the great videos of duplicate dialogue on the Duplicates page: "What?", "Lost" and Sawyer saying "Son of a Bitch". I did not make the videos, I just posted them here.

A special thank you to Michael for his very generous and repeated donations and to SunnyB, a UK fan, for her wonderful donation. It's fans like you guys who make it possible for me to keep my promise to maintain this site without any advertisements.

A huge thank you to all the fans of this site who came to my defense on April 10th by posting comments over on DarkUFO (and on a certain blogger's site) in support of my theory being the original game theory vs. the 12 paragraph game theory that was recently posted by the blogger on his site. Imitation is said to be the sincerest form of flattery. Which may be true. Unless, of course, you have spent over three years working on detailing every aspect of LOST being a game, only to have someone else start getting credit for all your hard work. Many thanks to all of you.

• The updates for S4E8 are done.

all_games does the happy dance! I have finally identified the Level 3 to Level 4 Hurley Bird and the Failsafe. It took me some time and I have been wracking my brains over it, but Duh, I finally located them. They were hidden in plain site all the time. See Level 3 Objectives on the Playing page.

While I did list Karl as dead on the Roles page, I did not include Danielle. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I don't think she's dead. And as I had written below in my update notes for 3/16/08, I'm still holding out for Jin being alive.

I am still waiting for someone to grab that axe that has been so visible on the Kahana since S4E5 so we get a confirmed Lumberjack. I don't think that just standing near it is enough. But I am watching it carefully.

A huge thanks to Anne Dawson the author of LOST Mind Games for mentioning this website in one of her recent National interviews. She was asked what some of her favorite LOST websites were and she listed this site as a good resource for facts. If you haven't seen her book yet, it's great. There are more details below in the 3/16/08 update notes.

Welcome to all the new visitors to this site. There has been a huge bump in traffic to this site during the past week and a half due to Anne Dawson's interview and due to the fact that there was a direct link to my Eyes page in Ausiello's TVGuide.com column. The link was also directly copied onto SpoilerFix.com. I have been delayed in getting my updates done because I have been attempting to answer the huge amount of mail that I received. If I haven't answered you back yet, bear with me, I am slowly making my way through all of them.

Thanks, as always, to John and Lise for their help with Roles and Duplicates and to RobN who is currently overcoming some obstacles that have interfered with him being as regular of a contributor as he has been in the past. John and I also discussed the Course Correction issues seen in this episode.

Thanks to Sean who has been after me to collect all the info I had scattered across the Playing page and update the section on Winning. Its all been there, but it hasn't been as organized and in one place as it is now.

Thanks to Frank for spotting two game references I had missed. Both are soccer references, one is in S1E13 and the other is in S3E4.

A big thank you goes out to Laura for her generous donation

Thanks to christiejay for pointing out that I had left out Hurley firing the flare gun in S3E18 on my Duplicates page

A special thanks to dmarie for pointing out a politically incorrect description that I had on the Duplicates page. "Oriental Couple" has been corrected to read "Asian Couple"

Thanks to Samantha for discovering a few places where I had mistakenly used the name Miles instead of Daniel

Thanks to Nate for pointing out a few problems with links on my Search and Donate pages. They have been fixed. At this point, there are over 6000 links in this website, and occasionally my software program inadvertently "fixes" something when I do automatic checks on my code, which only causes headaches for me. But, if you notice something wrong, please let me know so I can resolve it.

The updates for S4E7 are done

I'm going to stick my neck out here and state that I do not believe that Jin is really dead, for several reasons. First, the date on his gravestone says that he died on September 22, 2004 and could simply be a gravestone that was placed there after the fake wreckage was found. Second, we know that there are still LOSTies alive on the island after the Oceanic 6 get back. Third, Jin told Sun in this episode "I will do all that I can to protect you and the baby, I promise". Fourth, watch the scene carefully when Sun is speaking at the grave, it almost appears as if she is speaking to a live Jin that can somehow hear her and see her. Fifth, and this is just personal feelings on my part, I love Jin and I hate the thought of his dying. So I would much prefer to think that somehow there is some sort of communication device hidden in the gravestone that allows Sun to communicate with Jin on the island.

For the above reasons, I have placed Jin in the Dead/Not Dead category on the Duplicates page. I'm hoping that Jin sacrificed his own rescue to be sure that Sun and the baby would be safe. And, he could serve as the reason that Sun decides that she needs to go back to the island with the rest of the Oceanic 6. We'll see.

Of course, I was also one of the few fans who hoped that Vincent was going to dig up Nikki and Paolo after they had been buried alive. Not because I liked their characters, but because it would have made for great drama for the LOSTies to discover they had buried them alive, only to have them die all over again from the consequences of having been buried for too long. Oh well, I didn't get that wish. So I'll just hope for Jin's survival on the island.

I got a number of emails about trying to figure out what was with the curious comment by Dr. Ray in response to Desmond saying "This ship isn't moving". Does Dr. Ray's "Well, if you say so" indicate that the ship is actually moving, or is Dr. Ray starting to lose it? Who knows, but it will be interesting to find out.

S4E7 finally gave fans positive confirmation that there are people on the show who resemble each other and that it is not just in the minds of fans. See Similar Appearances on the Duplicates page for other characters who have had look-alikes.

I usually don't mention LOST merchandise on this site other than on the FAQ page and of course in the list of Official LOST Games & Toys on the Games page. But I bought two new LOST items this past week, the new Via Domus video game and the new book LOST Mind Games by Anne Dawson. And since I've had some emails from fans about both of these, I thought I would comment on them here.

First my thoughts on Via Domus. Many of you wrote and asked if I saw any conflict between my theory and the new video game. My answer is no. I haven't had a whole lot of time to play the game yet, and I hope to get to play with it a bit more during the upcoming break between S4E8 and S4E9, but so far, I do like it and would recommend it for any LOST fan. While it is different than the show, it actually has several activities in it that are similar to the types of game activities that I have detailed on this site. So no, it doesn't present any problem for my theory. There's a good description of the game on Lostpedia that also discusses how it is similar to the show and how it differs.

The second item is the new book LOST Mind Games by Anne Dawson. It was recommended to me by another LOST fan who thought it would interest me. And I have to tell you that I love this book.

It is not a traditional type of LOST book that goes into detail about the show. It is filled with really interesting puzzles and trivia quizzes that let you test what you know about LOST, but you also have to use a bit of brain power to figure them all out . There are over 200 hundred mind games divided into six chapters. No matter how much you know about the show, or even if you are a novice when it comes to LOST facts, you'll find this book a lot of fun. And be prepared to spend some time working on it, I've spent many hours on it already and I have only worked through about half of the mind games. Like I said, I love this book and I would highly recommend it to any LOST fan.

Due to all the recent references to sabotage, I have added a new role, the Saboteur. I took some of the people/situations that had previously been listed under Arsonist and moved them to the new role. The saboteur is now defined as someone who does something that keeps the LOSTies from accomplishing a goal, while the Arsonist is now just for someone setting fire to something. I debated over which category to place Walt in when he set the first raft on fire and I decided to put in into Saboteur. Let me know what you think.

A mistake from S4E6 has been added to the Mistakes page. It involves the painting in Ben's living room, and it's a big one. So I have placed it in the category of Mistakes That Are Important.

Thanks to Steven for noticing a Mistake in S4E2. when Locke shows Sawyer the exit wound on his back from Ben shooting him

The updates for S4E6 are done

Just as I predicted, we got the change from Level 4 to 5 on the morning of Day 97. All of the requirements were met. See Playing Level 4.

Be sure to see the Reset section on the Playing page. This Level change is the first Level change that has actually shown us that a reset of the characters has begun. The word RESET is shown in several places on the computer screens that Daniel was working on and on the Tempest system map.

A few people reported that they had some trouble getting emails to me this week. Sorry about that. I have checked with my hosting company and they seem to have fixed the problem.

I have added in the role of Laundress. Up until now, anyone seen doing the laundry had been included in the Role of Mom. Anyone who has been seen doing laundry or carrying laundry has been moved to this new role.

I usually don't include too many predictions of what will happen, but S4E7 will be a Sun and Jin episode and they were last seen in S4E6 heading off into the jungle with Vincent. Poor Vincent, he'll need to reset to the White Rabbit for the beginning of Level 5. So we can probably expect that Vincent will wind up lost again, or perhaps he'll wander into some kind of hole.

Thanks to Elizabeth for emailing me about an article in the NY POST where Lindelof and Cuse make the following statement " Season 4 is about who gets off the island and the fact that they need to get back. Season 5 is about why they need to get back, and Season 6 is about what happens when they get back." Which ties in nicely with what I have said. That the Oceanic 6 will need to return to the island to complete their full 108 days on the island.

Thanks to John and Lise once again for help with Duplicates, Roles and Games references.

A big thanks to Elaine for pointing out that we always see the plane crash shortly before a Level change. Elaine and I had discussed this before but I have finally added this to the list of things that need to happen for the Level changes to occur. See Playing

A new link has been added to the International section of the Links page for weLOST.it   These are the same people that the old LostPod icon used to link to. They asked me to replace the old link with this one, so all of the Italian speaking fans out there can find them at their new site.

The updates for S4E5 "The Constant" are done

Don't miss the two different versions shown of Daniel's map back to the boat on the Mistakes page

Did you catch the red flash on Sayid's face as he was standing on the deck? That makes a total of five odd flashes seen in Level 4. See Reset and Level 4 on the Playing page for a discussion of all of the flashes seen in S4E5.

There's been a lot of discussion about the fact that Michael was given a heading of 325° when he left the island with Walt, and that Frank was given a heading of 305°. One simple answer might be that perhaps the boat (the Kahana) is in a different location that it was before.

Thanks to Lise and John for help with many of the Duplicates and Roles

Thanks to RobN for pointing out the Chess reference that is listed on Games; and for the fact that the courtyard at Queen's College was also seen in the photo of Mrs. Hawking and Brother Campbell. See Duplicates for the other times when the courtyard has been seen.

My thanks for Steve for asking some great questions in his emails. Steve made me realize that I needed to add a few things to the FAQ page. It has been updated to include the answers to some of his questions.

Looks like someone may be back in the role of the Lumberjack soon, there is an axe prominently displayed on the Kahana

2/29/08

• I've just started on the updates for S4E5 "The Constant". I hope to have them done faster than it took to complete the updates for "Eggtown".

• It took a while to finish up S4E4 "Eggtown", I wanted to be absolutely sure about the days on which certain of the events took place. Eggtown took place on Day 95 and the morning of Day 96. And I wanted to look carefully as we are approaching a Level change from 4 to 5.

I believe that we have heard the equivalent of a Hurley Bird for this upcoming Level change. See the Monster and Playing pages

I also believe that we may have seen the White Rabbit for the Level change. See the Games and Playing pages

There were lots of roles changes in this episode, as always, be sure that you watch some of the props to indicate who is in which role at any given point in time. There are a number of very quick role changes evident with Locke when delivers the tray of food to Ben. Locke is a waiter as he brings a tray of food to Ben. Then he puts the tray down to open the lock (Guard). Watch Locke as he hands over the tray and suddenly becomes the Hunter with a knife in his hand. Ben is Locke's prisoner and asks Locke "Where are you keeping your other prisoner?" (Locke as guard again)

Also watch the scene in S4E4 where Kate talks to her Mom, the eye color changes are very noticeable and they happen each time the camera comes back to Kate

LOST Via Domus has been added to the Official Games & Toys Section on the Games page

A special thank you goes out to Sean for his wonderful emails about Eye color changes

Thanks to Glen for noticing the duplicate references to towns named Essex in S4E2

Thanks to nowhere for noticing a typo in my email address at the bottom of one of the pages

Thanks to LMO3 for noticing the big mistake about Kate being tried in LA. See Mistakes page

Thanks to Jason from the UK for reminding me to include a mistake from S3E1, when Juliet takes a Talking Heads cd from its cover, but Downtown plays instead. I've been meaning to add that for some time, but just hadn't gotten it done.

I apologize to the person who sent me the reference for a duplicate scene of watching someone's feet from under a bed. I have added it to the Duplicates page but I deleted the email before I got a chance to thank you. I believe that it was either Barbmom or LM03. Sorry if it was someone else.

2/19/08

Thanks to RobN for letting me know that the book that Elsa is reading when Sayid enters the restaurant in S4E3 is a actually a game, a Sudoku book, no wonder she had the pen in her hand.

I'm a big fan of J Wood and his articles, I was thrilled to see him give the definition of the word "economist" in his last article- the term economist was originally coined to refer to someone who ran a monastery- a Man of Faith.

The updates for S4E3 are done

On 5/29/07 (see below) I had noted that we had seen three red flashes that had appeared in the last few episodes of Season 3. I thought at that time that they could be related to the upcoming Level change from 4 to 5. I also reported that, if that was the case, then we should probably expect to see two more of these red flashes. Well, we just saw red flash number 4 in S4E3. See Reset

We now have four of the Oceanic 6 identified. They are Jack, Kate, Hurley & Sayid

Thanks to RobN for finding the Mistakes when Sayid shoots Mr. Avellino

2/14/08

The S4E2 updates are done

We are now on Day 94. See the Playing page for what this means about the upcoming Level change

Thanks to John for help with locating some of the eye color changes and games, to Lise for help with some of the roles and duplicates, and to RobN for locating the mistake in Ben's picture.

A big sigh of relief for all LOST fans over the new plan by TPTB for thirteen episodes instead of just 8! Looks like the end of the writers strike will bring some changes in the scheduling of the remaining shows for this season. Rumor has it that we will only see 7 episodes (instead of the original 8 that were planned) before the break. The eighth episode will air when the show returns with 6 remaining episodes in April and May. Plus, the LOST time slot will move to 10:00pm Thursday when it returns in April.

2/5/08

The updates for S4E1 are done. It took a while and I'm still doing some fine tuning, but 99% of it is done. As always, Mistakes take a little longer to find and I still have a few things I want to add here and there to some of the other pages and categories.

Lots of Duplicates, Roles and of course, as with any Hurley episode, lots of Games

There are great enhanced photos of what Hurley saw in Jacob's cabin on the Monster page and also on the Eyes page

And I've updated the Playing page to discuss where I think we are now as far as Levels are concerned

Don't miss the surprise return of Randy Nations, Hurley's old boss, in his role as Spectator on the Roles page

Some things never change. Once again we see just how lousy Jack is in the Role of the Tracker

Here's a link to an article from Entertainment Weekly in which Matthew Fox says that TPTB intended Jack's comments about his father being alive in S3E22 to indicate how high Jack was from the oxycodone he stole.

There's a lot of discussion on some of the forums about whether or not there is black smoke shown when Matthew Abbadon leaves the room at Santa Rosa. I did not list Matthew Abbadon as the smoke monster, yet. I'm still trying to decide if we are seeing a shadow or the smoke monster.

Once again thanks to all of you who have been so kind and have sent emails about the health issues we've been dealing with. I am happy to report that life is just about back to normal and is as hectic as it has ever been.

Thanks to RobN for once again coming through with the car key info found on the Playing page and for realizing that Hurley's reference to "...best of seven" was a World Series reference (See Games) and also for pointing out two Roles I missed, Hurley as the Magician when he made Jacob's cabin disappear and Christian Shepard as Dead.

John and Lise have been the same great support as ever. I don't know what I would do without you both in my cheering section

A special hello to newkill for his great emails and offers to help with checking facts

1/24/08

Thanks to JAYW for sending me a great link to a site that is announcing that there is a new unofficial LOST book coming out in February. The name of the book is LOST Mind Games by Anne Dawson and it looks like it's going to be fun. It's supposed to be filled with brain teasers and puzzles about LOST. Here's the link to the site LOST Mind Games

1/20/08

I'm finally getting some updates done. Hope to be on target to have them all done by January 31st

The Games page has been updated to include LOST-Missing Pieces as a game reference. It can be found under a new section called Hiatus Between Season 3 and Season 4. I'm still quite thrilled that the mobisodes were named Missing Pieces. There are links to .wmv files of the first 10 Missing Pieces there if you missed any of them.

I have added the promo that Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse did for a Season 4 Promo on the S3 DVD, called "Secrets to LOST",you can find a link to it on the Monster page.

I particularly liked the statement that was made in "Secrets of LOST" by one of the contributors who says that "The monster can take human form". I have been arguing this point ever since we first learned that Ethan was not a LOSTie (when Hurley discovered that Ethan was not on the passenger manifest in S1E11 ). So you can be sure that I added that quote to the top of the Monster page.

The Games page has also been updated to include a link to the website for Find 815, the new official LOST Alternate Reality Game (ARG) that was introduced in January 2008. I won't be following the game, but I did add it the same section that I have The LOST Experience (ARG) from Summer 2006 listed, under Games on Official Websites.

For anyone who missed seeing the S4 LOST Trailer that was shown in movie theaters this past winter, here's a link to the standard version and a link to a slow motion version that makes it easier to see details.

Many thanks to all of you who have taken the time to send emails about our personal situation. The surgery was a huge success. Although there is a long road ahead until complete recovery, we are looking forward to a wonderful New Year.

Believe it or not, my Season 3 DVD set remains unopened on my coffee table even though I have had it since December 11th. That should give you a hint as to the nature of what we have been facing. There just hasn't been any time for me to do anything other than take on the role of Nurse 24/7.

My most treasured Christmas present is an upcoming weekend off from nursing activities to spend my time as I wish. I have grand plans for a marathon weekend starting this Friday with the big screen HDTV to watch the DVD's. I have already stocked up on popcorn and a pile of other assorted goodies in anticipation.

I hope to get some updates posted soon.

My Best Wishes go out to all of you and yours for a Healthy and Happy New Year.

I just want to let all the regular visitors to this site know that I have not disappeared. Instead, my life has been quite hectic as there have been two serious injuries in my immediate family since October. My time has been spent in emergency rooms, sleeping in hospitals and exploring the roles of Doctor and Nurse.

We're not out of the woods yet, as there is one more surgery scheduled for next week. I am still answering emails, although it may take me a few days to get back to people.

So please bear with me as it will take a little longer to get my household back to normal. And please keep the emails coming, they are always welcome and they let me escape from reality. In fact, they are my own personal therapy.

• To all of you who have written- yes, I am just thrilled that the name of the Webisodes is "LOST Missing Pieces" and I'm busy working on adding some of the game references from the webisodes. I hope to have them done this week. But I may have to hold off until I have gotten a chance to spend hours exploring the Season 3 DVD set!

Thanks to Sean for pointing out that many people think that Susan Lloyd and Naomi look alike. I have added them to Similar Appearances on the Duplicates page

Thanks to Aloha for pointing out a typo on the Home page, to Laura G for pointing out a mistake on the Eyes page and to James for finding an error on the Roles page

10/8/07

Two new websites have been added to the Links page. Both are from our friends over in the UK . Be sure to visit LOST COMMUNITY UK, a great site for interesting LOST discussions and its sister site Lost-Play.com, a great site for spoiler-free news on LOST.

9/30/07

A new link has been added to the Related Links page for Raft Media . Spanish speaking fans of LOST should visit Raft Media for LOST media and news. Raft Reload, which is run by the same great LOST fan, is now a forum.

9/25/07

The September 21, 2007 Official Podcast has been added to the Podcast page.

8/31/07

Traffic to this site has been growing steadily all summer. I am pleased to report that LOSTisaGame.com has now had 6 million hits. I guess I'm not the only LOST fan suffering from withdrawal. Many thanks to the fans of this site who have been spreading the word about it.

I added another version of the upcoming LOST Video Game on the Games page under Official Games and Toys. This is a .mov file and it plays in Quick Player. It should allow you to see a larger view of the game.

Thanks to Lise, I updated the Duplicates page. See the updates to "Special " and the new category "Crossing Themself". Lise has also been very helpful in locating typos on the site.

8/26/07

You've probably noticed that I haven't done any updates since the end of Season 3. While I am going through the same LOST withdrawal that many fans are, it has actually been a wonderful break for me.

I appreciate those of you who have continued to email me with information. As always, I will be noting my thanks to you here once I verify and add the info you have sent.

I am now working on adding additional screen caps and finally getting a chance to go back and fix some typos. I will be also adding some new features to the site in the next few months. So keep checking back.

Don't miss the August 2, 2007 Official Podcast, it's the audio version of the 2007 LOST Panel at Comic Con. You can find it on the Podcast page. I have also added the video version (.wmv) of the Panel for those of you who want to watch it instead of just listening to it.

Many fans have asked me to use .wmv files for the video clips that I have on the site. I have been going through the site and replacing the prior video clips with .wmv files.

Here's the clip of the upcoming LOST Game by Ubisoft (.wmv) that was shown at Comic Con. It has also been added to the Games page under the Official LOST Games and Toys section.

Here's "The Orchid" video clip (.wmv) that was shown at Comic Con. It has also been added to the Duplicates page. Facts associated with "The Orchid" have been added to a number of pages including Games (bicycle) and Roles (Man of Science). Be sure to watch carefully for the brief pictures of Gerald DeGroot and the Dharma Headquarters building.

The official date for the release of the LOST Season 3 DVD is December 11, 2007. Just in time for Christmas!

There are lots of people to thank for helping to locate things to add to this site:

• Many thanks to Lise who has been busy this summer helping me with Duplicates to add to the site. Lise has been especially helpful with identifying duplicate quotes.

• Thanks to James for pointing out that a Hurley is a stick used in the sport of Hurling. I can't believe that no one has mentioned that before. It's been added to the Games page.

My thanks to Joshua for pointing out a mistake in S1E16 with the bottles that Kate and Sawyer are drinking from while they are playing "I Never"

Thanks to lostmio for noticing that while Emily Locke clearly has blue eyes in S1E19, her drivers license says that her eyes are brown. I have added this to the Mistakes page and to the Eyes page.

I received a very interesting email from Jody, who speaks and reads Arabic. Jody wrote to tell me that the writing on the back of Nadia's picture has been very deliberately worded to read "another life" rather than the common Arabic phrase which would imply that they would meet in "heaven".

Thanks to Adam for his observation about the door to the Hoffs/Drawlar Funeral Parlor changing color in S3E22. See Mistakes.

Thanks to LMO3 who noticed that Charlie's right eye changes to black as he is drowning in S3E22

5/31/07

I have gotten so many emails about Jack implying that his father was alive in S3E22 that I decided to add my answer as a Q&A on the FAQ page.

A few additional mistakes and eye references have been added.

My special thanks go out to John, Lise, RobN, lostmommyof3, Barbmom and to the many others of you who have been such big supporters of this site.

5/29/07

• The S3 Finale Updates are done. My thanks to all of you who emailed me with encouraging words while I worked my way through this episode!

• I have a few other minor additions that I will be making later in the week. But it's already Tuesday and I didn't want you to have to wait for a few more minor updates.

So what was the "game changer" that we were promised by Lindelof and Cuse? Another Level change. That's right we are now entering Level 5.

Lindelof and Cuse gave us the same advance warning earlier in March of this year when they began saying there was a "game changer" coming up. That hint from them coincided with the change from Level 3 to Level 4 that occurred in S3E15.

This "game changer" was the change from Level 4 to Level 5. See Level 4 for a complete discussion.

Maybe Ben/Fake Henry is telling Jack the truth this time when he tells Jack about Naomi "She's not who she says she is" and "She's a representative of some people who have been trying to find this island. She's one of the bad guys" and "If you phone that boat, every single living person on thus island will be killed" Does that mean that the people on the freighter are actually worse than the Others? Are they the new enemy in Level 5? Will the LOSTies and the remaining Others have to band together to fight this new enemy? See Levels

What's with all the camera flashes lately? There is a camera flash seen over Mikhail Bakunin/Patchy as he is lying in the Looking Glass. This is now at least the third camera flash that we have seen in the last several episodes. See Mistakes for S3E17 and S3E20 for the other camera flashes. I will be going back to investigate to see if these are actually related to the change from Level 4 to Level 5. If that is the case, then there should be a total of five flashes and I am probably missing two of the camera flashes needed for this Level change. See Reset. Maybe we haven't seen them yet, but if any one knows where I can find the missing flashes, please let me know.

What's in a Name? Walt calls Locke "John" instead of "Mr. Locke" and Alex calls Ben by his first name instead of "Dad". See Roles for the roles that each of these characters was in at the time of the conversations

Here's to my man Hurley and his sheer determination to help save the LOSTies. Despite having his offers of help being rudely turned down because of his weight, by Charlie in S3E21 and then by Sawyer in S3E22, Hurley winds up being a Hero. He saves Sayid, Jin, Bernard, Sawyer and Juliet from the Others. See Roles for the additional roles that Hurley was in.

Just in case you've missed my professions of admiration before- Hurley and Sawyer have always been my favorite characters!

For a translation of the page that Ben/Fake Henry was reading in the diary, see Soldier on the Roles page

Be sure you noticed Jack take the backpack off and put it back on as he changed Roles from the Terrorist who has the machete in his backpack, to the Torturer, then back to the Terrorist and then on to the Patient. This series of scenes is an excellent example of props being picked up and put down during role changes.

Don't miss the Eyes page. There were many eyes featured in this episode and there were an incredible number of eye color changes.

Is Mikhail Bakunin/Patchy dead? Mikhail Bakunin/Patchy appears to blow himself up when he detonates the grenade. But we were also led to believe that he was dead when Locke pushed him through the sonic fence. So, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if he survives the explosion as well.

When Kate tells Jack "I have to go. He's gonna be wondering where I am", who is she referring to? A man or possibly a baby? Looks like we'll just have to wait for a while to see who it is.

The role of Librarian has been added to the Roles page. I'll be working during the hiatus to complete the listings for this new role.

As I stated in last week's update, I am also working on the revision of the Soldier and Murderer roles. It will take a while to determine if someone that I have listed as a Murderer was actually following orders when they killed. I suspect that someone who followed orders to kill, actually got points in the game for doing so. Last week I added a new section called Earning Points for Killing to the Playing page. So far, it only states what I have said here. It will be interesting to see what I uncover when I go back and look at all of the details more carefully.

Thanks to Peter for noticing a mistake I missed in S3E21. Charlie crosses himself with his left hand. See Mistakes
